F090 is a door lock error on Kenmore 790 freestanding ranges and, separately, Elite slide-in electric ranges numbered 790.5256, 790.4131 and 790.4255. The relay control board does not detect the door lock motor operating.

What the manual says to try

  1. Disconnect power to the range, wait 30 seconds, and restore power.
  2. Try to lock the oven door again by starting the Oven Lockout or a Clean Cycle.
  3. If the door lock motor still does not run, disconnect power to the range and check the wire harness connections between the door lock assembly and the relay control board. Reconnect loose wires or replace a damaged harness.
  4. With sound wiring, replace the door lock assembly.
  5. If the problem continues, replace the relay control board.
