Checks in the manual’s order

1. Confirm the water supply cut-off valve for the dishwasher is fully open.
2. Look along the inlet supply hose for a kink.
3. Unplug the dishwasher, shut off the water and disconnect the hose from the inlet water valve. Inspect the filter screen on the valve; a clogged screen means the valve is replaced.
4. If the screen is clear, hold the hose end over a container and open the cut-off valve briefly. No flow means the water supply itself needs repair.
5. With good flow, check the inlet guide assembly and clear any clog.
6. Check the wiring connections on the water inlet valve and reconnect loose wires.

Beyond that, a technician measures resistance through the valve and through its wires to the electronic control board. A valve that reads open, or a board that is not sending current, points to a replacement.
